MCP reference

A clear reference for TreAIsure's MCP tools.

This reference covers the two tools exposed by the current MCP server: searching memory and saving a lasting thought.

Authentication

Use a personal token for each client.

Create an MCP token in TreAIsure, then pass it to the client using TREAISURE_ACCESS_TOKEN. The token grants access to your memory and can be revoked without changing your password.

Keep the token out of your repositories
Use a separate token for each environment
Revoke a compromised token immediately

Tool 1

`treaisure_search_memory`

Search notes, decisions, experiences, and opinions within a single TreAIsure space.

Parameters

questionstringrequis: The user's question about their own history.
spacepersonal | professionalrequis: Search one space at a time. Never combine them.
limitinteger, 1-12: Maximum number of evidence items. Default: 8.

Response: an evidence bundle with excerpts, dates, topics, entities, scores, and direct, related, or semantic levels. Never present related or semantic evidence as an explicit statement by the user.

Tool 2

`treaisure_capture_thought`

Prepares or saves a user's lasting thoughts in the appropriate space.

Parameters

textstring, 3-10,000 charactersrequis: Only the user's original words. Never add the assistant's analysis.
spacepersonal | professionalrequis: personal for personal life; professional for work, projects, and code.
thought_kindthought | memory | experience: Optional. thought is the default.
occurred_atISO 8601: Optional. Set this when a past event has a clear date.
confirmedboolean: Set to true to save. Without confirmation, the tool only prepares a proposal.

Statuses: pending_confirmation when no save is requested, created after creation, already_exists if the thought already exists, rejected when capture is rejected. Confirm a save to the user only after created or already_exists.
